Despite the abuse being substantiated, the judge continued to force contact and threatened penalties if her daughter did not go.  Knowing truly in her heart that she could not force her child to go to a place where she was harmed, she did not force her daughter to go.

It would be easy to resolve if it were only the advertising industry.  It is the ingrained attitudes that dates back thousands of years.   Women have been horrifically exploited as war strategies,  slaves, commodities and some of these attitudes still exist within laws.  Since the declaration of human rights,  many improvements have occurred for humanity and in some cases the back bone for laws that protect both women and children.   Alot of men now abhor violence against women and children.  Many laws have been established to stop violence against women and children.  Many people are now aware that it is not an issue to be ignored. But, like many of the struggles to champion humanist values, there have also been those who will go to great lengths to maintain the imbalance.

This has been identified as the backlash which began in the eighties, just as the status of women had begun to improve.  These are often the type of men who believe wholeheartedly that women and children should be “seen but not heard”.    Controversially, they consider themselves apart of a civil rights movement as if their plight is a great humane cause.   They claim that they are fighting for equal rights that women had robbed from them when they were obliged to monetarily support children.  Before child support, mens or fathers rights groups were non – existent. Now they threaten the very existence of child-mother relationships as they move in to use the children as a remote control to the mother.  On the family violence front, this is devastating as the statistics on family violence related deaths continue to climb.  These groups push for values that appear amicable, but in reality a shell to the agenda.  Below, is a comparison of propaganda that was used to promote cigarettes versus shared parenting.

Both use children to promote a cause that can end in death and disability and both use guilt as a means to its agenda.  There are many reasons why fathers are absent, but most of those reasons are of the fathers hands.  Since the 1980s post the introduction of the controversial theory, “Parent Alienation”,  both children and mothers have been punished and even isolated from one another when they have raised concerns about violence or child abuse – Even when there has been a significant amount of evidence.
